Referral to oral surgery for evaluation of radiographic findings is common practice in dentistry.
We will go through real incoming referrals and the subsequent diagnoses.
Pattern recognition and concise review of relevant anatomy and pathology will help arm the dentist to more nimbly spot and triage radiologic findings that arise in everyday dentistry.

Dr. David Yang is the Provincial Practice Leader in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for BC Cancer. He is co-founder of the Spear Study Club Vancouver, and past president of the Dental Specialist Society of BC. He lectures nationally and internationally on the topics of implant reconstruction, cancer care and jaw necrosis.
