procedures, electronic medical records, charting, staffing, office management, and communication with other offices. These systems introduce complexity and increased risks to the dental practice, patient information and the staff tasked to manage them. During this presentation, we will discuss some of the top threats faced by dental practices and review some signs of what a breach can look like, learn critical lessons from real life dental breaches and obtain the steps necessary to protect your practice from a potentially catastrophic cyber breach. Also to be discussed: how to respond to phishing attacks; separation of wifi; and critical questions we need to ask our 3rd party technology partners and providers.
